My home is a fully renovated 1923 center Georgian with all modern amenities, appliances, and features, coupled with original architectural details. The 4000+ sq ft home has 4 bedrooms and 3 and 1/2 baths (sleeps 10), original hardwood floors, high ceilings, light-filled rooms, designer bathrooms, and a gourmet kitchen, and is meticulously maintained. The location is about 12 minutes from Churchill Downs and just a few steps from Louisville’s beautiful Cherokee Park. It is a short walk to over a dozen local restaurants and historic Bardstown Road.
So-called “Restaurant Row” and voted “Louisville’s Greatest Street,” nearby Bardstown Road offers plenty to explore during your stay, no car necessary. The Highlands is extremely walkable and bike-friendly with over 30 restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, breweries, and endless locally-owned places to find new treasures.
Located in the Park District of the Highlands, you will be situated between the rolling hills of two famous Louisville parks. Fredrick Olmsted, you might know his work from New York’s Central Park, designed the 400+ acre Cherokee Park which is home to beautiful bike and walking/running trails, vast green spaces to explore, as well as creeks and waterways. Mr. Olmsted’s firm also designed nearby Tyler Park, which is equipped with a newly designed playground and splash pad along with public tennis courts.
The Highlands border downtown Louisville where you can see shows and sporting events at our various stadiums and theatres, walk along the riverfront or the pedestrian bridge to Indiana, travel down Bourbon Row, or enjoy 4th Street Live!
